GIVING BACK TO HOSPITALS
TORONTO, ON —From its inception, Benemax and Polar Naturals have been focused on the better health of the community. In late 2019 and early 2020, in the face of the outbreak and ensuing pandemic of Coronavirus (COVID-19), a worldwide interest in personal protection and immune health was sparked. Accordingly, Polar Naturals/Benemax took drastic steps and completely overhauled its normal production. In order to meet the growing public need, they began producing 70% Isopropyl Alcohol hand sanitizer bottles in early March. To date, Polar Naturals/Benemax and its highly-skilled team have produced thousands of bottles and are even donating a significant portion of their stock to local hospitals. In April 2020, Polar Naturals/Benemax made a sizeable donation to the Scarborough Health Network and Markham Stouffville Hospital of 15,000 70% Isopropyl Alcohol-based hand sanitizer bottles and 15,000 medical-grade surgical masks.
According to Polar Naturals/Benemax president and owner Wynn Xie, “Our slogan is “Be Your Best”. This transcends beyond our supplements to describe the heart of our company. We want do all [that] we can to give back to the doctors and nurses who work tirelessly for us every day”. In addition to the current shipment, Polar Naturals/Benemax hopes to continue their philanthropy with the help of the consumer. “Each purchase provides the opportunity for more donations,” said General Manager Ken Dixon when asked last week. “There is a need in the city for affordable personal protection and our hospitals need our help,” he continued. “It is our privilege to assist our healthcare workers in maintaining the excellent quality of care Torontonians deserve.”
